Magical Poetry! Enjoy it, or something.

Like Earth's Blood- Umm... yeah. I dig this one... it's like my favourite poem that I've written, or... something. I dunno. It's not that good to me anymore.

Evil Song- It's not really called "evil song," but I never finished it, and it was a song, so I just called it Evil Song... makes sense, doesn't it? I have a tune for this... I should prolly finish it someday... bah.

The Fool in His Heart- I had to use descriptive adjectives from HEMINGWAY to write this poem. HEMINGWAY! Shoot me now! ::hates Hemingway:: But I guess the poem doesn't suck too much. Not as bad as anything Hemingway wrote, in any case.

Identity- I wrote this in 8th grade cos we were supposed to write a poem that was like the same thing as some person's poem about being a flower or a weed. Riiiiight. My English class thought it was good, but they were all high on crack ;p

Inside Me- Also one of those "formula" poems, also 8th grade. 8th grade... O_o

me or the world- I wrote this in 8th grade and then included in the summer project I was supposed to do between 8th and 9th grade. ;o I was doped up on decongestants when I wrote it and barely conscious, so that should explain a lot.

Eyes in the Mirror- I wrote this in 9th grade! Yes, I'm only 5'1", don't make fun of me... it's because I don't drink enough milk ;Þ

Morning Shades of White and Grey- Another one of those 8th grade "classics". I won this contest with it... so I guess it's like good or something, but I think it's kind of stupid, except for the last verse... well, I'll let you decide.

Poetry is Groovy But This Doesn't Look Like a Star- Actually the poem is untitled but this is what I saved it as on my HD. And this one is from... 7TH GRADE!! Yes, folks, you heard right, I've got something up here from 7TH GRADE. I think it's like the stupidest poem ever, but, whatever.

Protest Song- This one is also actually untitled. I guess I meant it to be a song, but I never finished it nor came up with a tune, so it's just a bad poem. I'm not sure exactly when I wrote it, but it was either 7th or 8th grade since that's when I was on my whole pacifism kick... thanks to Relena Peacecraft, I'll never go down THAT path again >_<

Like a Shadow of the Sun- No, that's not actually the title of this one either, but it's how I saved it on my HD. It's another one of those poems I decided to start writing and not finish. Actually, I think I have another poem with that title for real but I don't know where it's at... I heard a quote calling the moon a "shadow of the sun" once and I thought it was like the coolest thing ever, so, that's why.

Winter- I wrote it in 9th grade while listening to what's-his-face's Winter song or something. It's meant to partially relate to Winter Stormspinner, but not really.

Waiting for Yesterday- AnJa and I wrote this together a long time ago when she was in a depressed mood and I was bored. It was supposed to be a song, but it kind of doesn't rhyme right, and will die before fitting any kind of rhythm pattern, so...

Marah Adnah- 'Tis magic thingum written 8th grade, yes i'tis! Oh yeah, and the reason the rhyming pattern is screwed up in a few parts is because this is actually a song. It even has a tune...! ...so the tune fixes the broplems ;o (broplem is typed on purpose)

Ad Asperum per Astra- I wrote it-- also in 8th grade-- at around the same time as Marah Adnah. The title translates to "To difficulty through a star." I meant for it to be "From the stars to the mud" or at the very least, "To difficulty through the stars," but I didn't know Latin back then so I just switched words and thought myself clever ;o

Under the Sun- For Red Ribbon Week in 8th grade O_o It is totally irrelevant to drugs or anything, but I think the theme was something about the future, or time, or whatever, so I just wrote my Ecclesiastical poem and turned it in ;o I got to area too. I guess they don't care about topic as long as it rhymes (and the rhyme's not forced--nothing grosser than rhyming poetry with forced rhyme!!!).

Crying to the Sky- More 8th grade jolliness than ever before! I won the Reflections contest wif this lovely fingum *hooray*. It was-- believe it or not-- entirely inspired by the Monkees. Go watch Head, you'll dig. ::grooves to "Porpoise Song"::

To the Patriots- Anti-war 8th grade. Huzzah. My teacher sent this to a contest or something and when it came back it said BEST across the top in very formal writing. Kind of creepy. However the essay I had sent came back WITHOUT saying BEST, so I guess that's why I lost O_O

Angel Smile- Joy! We're past 8th grade and here's something from 9th grade! It sorta goes along with Exsequor Exequor, but not like completely or anything. 'Tis about Aeris from Cloud's perspective. My English teacher and her whole family psychoanalysed me after I turned this in ;o They figured out that I was mad at God, and I'd lost a friend. (They're so smart)

astlyr- Is it actually something RECENT?? Yes, children, here's something written JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO, in my creative writing class. Kat and Chris said it sounds like it's about my mistress :\ So too bad I don't have one :\ Kat and Chris are weird.

Glass out of the Moon- Creative Writing. HOORAY. I got the idea for the title from this really awesome poem I read called... Overheard on a Salt Marsh, or something. It was in this book called Reflections on a Gift of Watermelon Pickle, and pretty much everything in the entire book sucked, except for that poem.

Ode to Brad Swaile- Produced independently XD Brad Swaile!! *giggle giggle*

Reasoned Verse- It's a little pointless thing I did for Creative Writing. One of those things I put up because it was on the hard drive and I felt obligated to do something with the blighted thing.

for everything, to rest.- I kinda dig it. *shrug* One of the first things I wrote in Creative Writing. It's dated. Isn't that nice?

One Window- Random Creative Writing poem.  It's about choosing between the telly and the outdoors O_O

Archetype- These and the next two are poems I just decided to write and put down in quick succession. This one's about... like... umm... evolution and humanity and... stuff.

Absolutism- About... umm... everything... and... err... well, I think the themes of all three of these newest ones are pretty obvious, but they're hard for me to explain right now because I don't get enough sleep.

Breadth of a Starless Twilight- It's about the sun and the moon or something. I won a contest with it that supposedly got me a $100 prize, but the $100 never materialised o_x I'll harass somebody about that sometime.

magnolia Sublimet Magnolia summittat - Well, it's about um, divine and mundane natures... written, I believe, right after I finished reading the Paradiso, so, yeah.

Eternity and the Mirror - Somehow, I always like this one enough that I don't trash it, but not enough that I actually do like it, no matter what I do with it, so yeah. Inspired by the final battle of FFIX, the last episodes of Utena, and some stuff my chara Aestus did in a sim once ;o Oh, and a painting.. there was a painting.

Noblest and Most Beautiful - Juri/Ruka inspired poem. I did post this before, but I've edited it heavily, so it's not the same. And I took the old one down cos it sucked. Actually, this one kind of sucks more in some ways, but less in others, so, yeah.

i never broke my shell - Black Rose Wakaba inspired poem. ^_^

Inversion Canticle - Rounding out our collection of Utenesque poetry is this, a Saionji/Anthy inspiration.

Fish yo shinwa ni nare. Shounen yo Fish ni nare.
