A World of...

A world of frequent changing and variety of life
For some, the right to sheer delight
For others, pain and strife.
A world of those who recollect the times of distant past
Of those who just forget it, and refuse to make it last.
A world of endless rushing, filled with stress and things to do
Of loneliness and poverty, and hungry children, too.
A world of splendid nature, with the rivers running by
Of leaves that fall, from trees so tall,
They tower to the sky.
A world of different heritage, of countries far and wide
Of dance and song, however long, from west to eastern side.
A world of people here and there, of things unknown to be
Of days of old, and things of gold,
From sea to shining sea.
