A couple nights ago I found out that AOLpress may actually be the devil. This was a great sadness to me, since I'd always considered AOLpress to be a good friend of mine. How did I come to decide that AOLpress is in fact the Archfiend? Well, I'll tell you. Even though I checked the HTML several times and there were no errors, a certain javascript which is somewhere *on this page* didn't work right. So, I opened the page as a text file and beheld raw, non-colourful AOLpress-style HTML. As I already knew, AOLpress-edited HTML files open with little block things instead of line breaks, but I'd always assumed this to be a harmless pastime of my good friend's. In order to make the HTML easier to read, I took out all the block things and saved, then reloaded.
AND THE JAVASCRIPT WORKED
This revealed that, to my shock and dismay, the editor which had been my good friend was block-thinging my HTML to catastrophic end! So, I told my friend James who lives in Canada that I found out AOLpress might be the devil. He said he didn't like the devil. Then I was like, whoa, what a coincidence, cos I don't like the devil either. AnJa was in the room, so I asked her if she liked the devil, and you're not gonna believe this part.
She doesn't either.
Nobody likes the devil and the devil doesn't like anybody. James wondered if the devil was lonely and thought maybe if someone sent him a floral arrangement it would warm his heart (with something other than hellfire). I said I certainly wouldn't send him a floral arrangement because I don't like him, and James said he doesn't know of any florists who deliver to Hell. Therefore, the devil doesn't get any flowers. Too bad for him. Ha, ha. I laugh at his misfortune (because he's the devil). Anyway, we know it's really his own fault that nobody likes him because he's malicious and stuff. I suggested that people might like him more if he developed some constructive hobbies (other than prowling about like a lion seeking whom he may devour). James found the idea of the devil taking up macramé or something to be funny. I thought they could have "Craft Night" in Hell. James thought it would be funny if the devil walked into a quilting circle and said "Hello, I am the devil. Perhaps you have heard of me."
I don't like the devil. In fact, I hate the devil! He's a git!
Another friend of mine, Maxim, found an online fansub distributor who's got the first two seasons of Sailor Moon!! SCORE!! 20 tapes is the maximum order, and that's exactly how many volumes I'd have to order XD $115... I have to save up $57.50 before I can buy them (AnJa will of course pay the other half). ...I probably already have enough, actually. I got lotsa cash for my birthday. XD Even though some people consider it kind of rude to just give people money, it's considered the best gift in Korea. And I like getting money. I like getting stuff, because on birthdays and Christmas and things you sometimes get stuff you really are glad to have but probably wouldn't have bought for yourself. But, I also like getting money. I like getting both money and stuff. Yeah.
I joined Yoshi-senpai on genkai no mukou ha mugendai!! I'm a blogger for real now, instead of just a person with an online journal who calls it blog! XD
Through hard work and perseverance, I managed to acquire two more GRN50s or whatever they're called in Xenogears. Next time I challenge Deus, I will win!! ...I know what the Xenogears team were thinking. They were like, "RPGs you can beat are so trite. Let's make an RPG where the final boss is God so no-one will ever be able to win."
Good thing "Deus" in Xenogears is really an interplanetary weapon and not God XP Parts of the game are really weirdly translated or confusing, like the part where Bart goes "Now Aveh is a republic!" and everyone cheers and Sigurd says "Listen, they chose you as their king!" It confuses me because I don't know whether Aveh is really going to be a republic or if Bart is going to be the king. Oh yeah. I don't like Margie. She's got the hots for her cousin. Ewww. Back to interesting translation topic-- parts of it are really WELL translated. The line that sticks out in my mind as being kinda cool is when Fei-tachi find the rotted Deus in Merkava and Fei comments on "the human fear of the Absolute." Isn't that groovy?! The answer is YES!!! IT IS!
Fei's a git.
AnJa says that I am not actually American. This is probably true. See, at first she said I was just actually Asian, since my playlist is about 82.46% in either Japanese, Chinese, or Korean. If it had just been j-pop, then I wouldn't have been that abnormal, but the inclusion of Chinese and Korean music tipped the scales ;o Then tonight I told her about this time in 8th grade Mrs. Bratton had some Greek candy that was kind of like peanut butter but it was *really* good and everyone else hated it except for me and Veneliza. So AnJa said the two of us are not American. I wondered how we could be both Asian and Grecian, but she says we aren't. We just aren't American. Oh yeah, my Russian pop music probably also doesn't help to make me an average American teen ;o
It seems kind of odd to me that something like taste (as in tasting food) could be so conditioned. Like, I eat something that's considered a treat in another country, and I think it's gross. They, however, would think some of the foods I really love are gross. It's totally cultural, but it seems like something like taste would be more universal. ...But it isn't. So.
I had 44 oz. of Dr Pepper, but they're gone now. I am sad.
I watched Operation Condor tonight! It's a Jackie Chan movie. Jackie Chan is cool. However, Operation Condor was really a bad movie XP But I still kinda liked it, cos it was Jackie Chan o_o
Also, today I watched Big O for the first time-- I was planning to watch Cardcaptors on Toonami because there are some first season eps I haven't seen, but they didn't have it O_o They change there lineup so often... anyway, Big O happened to be on so I watched it. I really like the animation style. It's smooth and kinda angular. Looks like the Batman animation, only with anime flavour, you know. ;o There was something called... oh, I forget, Magna-Deuce or SOMETHING, and it looked like an Eva O_O Then the main guy and his robotic maid got in the heroic robot Big O and killed it. Trying to remember the name and coming up with something resembling Magna-Deuce which I'm sure is not right but is what I come up with makes me think of Magna-Doodle. I think I still have one somewhere. Man, I loved that thing when I was a small child XD
People always look at my drawings and go "How long have you been drawing?" That seems like a weird question to me. I mean, I've been drawing pretty much since I could hold a pencil, and even though I know everyone who draws isn't like that, I can't understand the concept of someone to whom drawing is important *not* having been drawing since they were tiny little. (I know that last sentence looks odd, but the grammar is actually correct.)
I want to tell you that the new people on SNL aren't funny. :Þ
Dude, I just found out (from AnJa) that it's very likely the Japanese are descended from one of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel! How cool is that?! Go to moshiach.com if you wanna find out stuff about that.
