It seems like I actually had an excuse for not having written an entry in however long it's been, but I forgot... well, there IS an excuse in that my computer was reanimated, went too slowly, and I backed everything up and then reinstalled Windows (again, only this time I used Recover instead of putting Windows 98 back on top of the previous Windows 98 to avoid losing any files). And then trying to get the network up and all that kinda stuff. But I mean there was some sort of concrete *excuse* I had for like, why I didn't do one last Thursday, etc. etc. Oy! It really has been over a week, hasn't it? Well, let's see if I can remember my Dr Pepper intake...
Thursday (20 Sep): 12 oz. *gasp* (I actually did start a journal entry this day, but the computer froze and I went and did something else... but because I had typed that much out and mentioned it to people, I can remember how much)
21 Sep: around 40 oz. Friday is After-school Big Drink day.
22 Sep: Oy, like I remember? I think I went to see AnJa, so probably like... oh, say, maybe 90? A fountain drink on the way up and then a couple refills on a 32 oz. from Taco Cabana...
23 Sep: Aaa... hmmm. Wait! I DIDN'T go see AnJa Saturday. I had like... maybe 40 oz. Two refills of a standard drink at Jim's or something. And I went to see AnJa Sunday actually. I think. Yeah... oy, am I on drugs? I don't have this short term memory!
24 Sep: 16.9 oz. (half-liter bottle)
25 Sep: I don't remember. Maybe only 12...
26 Sep: 20 oz. (bottle at school)
27 Sep: 40-50; either large or medium drink at Chick-fil-A with two refills [not including the original fill, not, itself, being a refill]
I just realised a day is omitted. ::goes back and adds it in::
28 Sep: 80 or so. Biggie drink at Wendy's with one refill and about 20% of a 64 oz. fountain drink that's sitting in the fridge right now =O

Zidane- Jackie. Because I still like Jackie Chan, it fits him more than it fit Squall, and naming the main character "Jackie" just feels so *right* now.
Vivi- Vincent. Because when you name him, he's on the roof, which is where Vincent V. is in his promo shot for FFVII. And because they both have that whole double V thing going on, and I thought it sounded cute. Vincent, the cute little black mage. Awwww. ^_^!
Steiner- Schwarz. Because I wanted to rename him, but wanted to keep that good German name thing going on, and Hohenzollern didn't fit. What are you gonna do? That's right, you can't do ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
Garnet- January. Well, Dagger just doesn't work for me... I've never been able to think of her "officially" as anything other than Garnet since my first introduction to FFIX was a Japanese site that had cute little chara icons and listed the characters (in kana) as Jidan, Gaanetto, Biibii, Eeko, Furaiyaa.... etc. Gaanetto was instanly recognisable as "Garnet" and it is for this reason that a) She'll never be Dagger to me and b) I'm not sure how to pronounce "Zidane". .... but I digress! In any case, Dagger was right out, but I probably would have named her "Bodkin" or something except that I really liked the name Garnet, but I obviously couldn't name her that since the whole point in renaming her is to get rid of the whole "I'm Garnet" thing. More or less. Anyway, Garnet is the January birthstone, and I thought it was kinda cool =O
Freya- LeSill. You meet her in this bar, the BGM of which *really* reminded me of the Monkey Island games. For this reason, I wanted to name her something from that, but "Guybrush," "Elaine," "Wally," "LeChuck," etc. didn't work for me. Then I remembered on this Monkees mailing list I used to post as "Zombie Pirate LeSill," inspired, of course, by the Ghost/Zombie/Demon Pirate LeChuck. And LeSill sounds classier than LeChuck, in my opinion. So, LeSill. o_o
Quina- Poppaea. Was going to name him/her Grumio after the cook in the Cambridge Latin level 1 book, but I already named that dude Clemett in Shadow Madness "Grumio" (since Grumio and Clemens were Caecilius's slaves and Clemett is like Clemens), and also one of my FFVIII GFs was Grumio... oh yeah, Cerberus was Grumio because Cerberus was Caecilius's dog and used to jump on the table while Grumio was cooking. So anyway, I don't want to reuse a name so many times... in conclusion, Poppaea was Grumio's girlfriend in the book. And it's pronounced kind of like "Papaya." So.

Dramatic saga of Escape from Monkey Island: As many of you may or may not know, I updated my site last Christmas because this game, Escape from Monkey Island, i.e., Monkey Island 4, did not work. What most of you probably do not know is that it never did end up working. Didn't like our graphic card. We tried to update drivers and all sortsa junk, but no. No worky. ... ONLY NOW IT WORKS. Because AnJa's PC that was new came back and we got her a laptop and now it's mum's new PC and Escape from Monkey Island works beautifully on it =O So I play it on there. Hooray. Anyway, although Brad Swaile is still my very favouritest voice actor, Dominic Armato is 2nd. I don't like him the way I like Brad Swaile, but he's an awesome actor =) Go Dominic Armato! He should do animation instead of just Monkey Island games =P
I'm improving my DDR skillz. Someday I'll actually be *good* at it. I've passed all the songs on Standard mode, at least. And I actually do very well in workout mode O_o()
There's this girl I used to be rivals with in 1st grade at church in Sunday school. Only, apparently, she doesn't know we were rivals. I remember the Sunday school teacher was always complimenting her drawings and saying things like "Are you sure you don't take art lessons?" when she'd draw pictures during times she was SUPPOSED to be listening and I was always jealous that the teacher never said nice things about my drawings that I of course only made when it was all right to be drawing. And I always thought "she's not any better than I am" and stuff like that. Rival type stuff. Her name's [[Insert pseudonym]] Ellemenope. Actually, that's pretty close to her real name, and what my dad always called her just because ;o But anyway.... today was region choir auditions, right? And I had drawn this picture of my Bresby chara, Faren, wearing a ballroom gown. My friend Lauren wanted me to draw her in a fancy dress too, so I did. Then she comes by later and said "that girl over there really likes the picture you drew and wants to know if you can draw something kind of like it for her to colour." And then the girl comes over, and it's HER! And she goes like, "OH, I KNOW YOU!" and I'm like "((Sunday school flashbacks))" and then she's all "You were in Region Choir LAST year!" and I was all like "dude, how can she NOT remember our bitter first grade rivalry?!" but she doesn't even REMEMBER that at all! O_O So, yeah, I know it was only a bitter rivalry to ME and she coulda cared less back then, but still, it seems odd she doesn't remember at all. In any case, she's now like "oh, teach me how to draw," and "I'm just starting, so I'm not good at drawing yet!" and I was just thinking how weird rivalry and stuff is =/ I never really think I do anything to my full potential or whatever unless I have some sort of a rival, whether or not that person is aware they're my rival ;o And I was also thinking, liar, you've been drawing as long as I have cos you used to always draw on your church bulletin during Sunday School =O But I said nothing of the sort. O_O()
I MADE 5TH CHAIR AT REGION AUDITIONS!! Hooray! Since I'm in the top 10, I'm eligible for the Top 5 auditions which, if I make those, will make me eligible to audition for All-State. AnJa made it her junior year, so I really hope I do too =O Last year I made top 10, but I was 2nd alternate for the top 5 so I didn't get to try out for All-State. Nyo.
