Wheeee~ I'm writing a journal entry and I have so much stuff to talk about that's happened between now and the last time I wrote one that I'm sure I'll forget a whole bunch of stuff but whatever ;o I keep doing that thing where I think during the day of stuff I should put in a journal entry, but when I get on the computer I just don't feel like doing one. I probably wouldn't even be doing one now except that Zuki told me to and she will slay me if I disobey her!!!!111

...I'm really beyond amused with the practice of using multiple exclamation points and not holding down the Shift key for the last few XD()

The Real Folk Blues! Honto no kanashimi ga shiii... something something. I'm just listening to it. Cowboy Bebop has some rockin' music. ... owari nara!

So like, two weeks ago was TMEA convention. TMEA = Texas Music Educator's Association. And TMEA convention is where All-State choir, band, orchestra, etc. happen. So I was there. We left for it Wednesday afternoon and had angst in between. Rather, I had angst, because see Scur sent this letter home with All-Stater types that had information and stuff (like, bring a jacket, have a water bottle, district is giving you some money for food but bring extra just in case, we'll be leaving Wednesday at 3.00)... so, mum came to the school around three with my luggage and we were having choir at that point, and it was almost over. (Normally choir would be long over by that point, but that was TAAS week so schedules were different) It got to be about 3.03 and mum came in just to see and Scur was like "we'll be done in a minute" and she seemed mad, then mum went back out and the bell rang and I went to talk to Scur and she was mad and she was like "I told you we were all driving down there together, the letter said so" and other stuff and I was like "... I'm sorry... what should I do?" and she was like "Well, she's here now!" and I was like =| so I went to my locker and got my stuff and went out to the car and mum was all "Is she mad that I came?" and I was like "I think so..." and then I started crying because I'm oversensitive like that and I got in the car and I was like bleh and I told mum what she had said, and then some other stuff happened and you know, the night before that Jessie (the other All-State girl) called me to ask if Scur was going to be taking us down there, because she didn't know. And I was hoping that meant the letter really hadn't said Scur was taking us (I didn't have it with me), because I would hate for it to really just be my fault. Anyway, mum talked to Scur and stuff happened and I really wanted to just go with mum at that point because I was still crying and trying to hide my face and stuff and mum got directions and mentioned "You know, Jessie called our house last night because she wasn't sure how they were getting down their either... so maybe they just both misread it, or.... something," and she was like "heh, I'm smooth, I implied that she didn't put it in there but didn't say as much" and I was like XD() and then she took me by Sonic to get a Dr Pepper so I'd feel better =D~ and I did and then we talked about stuff and I was all "I hope the letter really didn't say" and she was like "Even if it didn't say, that won't bring back your joy" and I was like "Yeah, but then at least I'll know it wasn't my fault" because that's kind of a big deal to me, you know? And Scur had also told mum she also told us last week in class and all this other stuff. The thing, is she (Scur) does this kind of thing all the time... she says "I told you guys about this last time!" or something, and she really didn't. She just always says "Well, I told you" or "The letter said" or whatever, and she never told us, or the letter didn't really say. I wonder if she really does think she told us, or if she just goes on like that to cover for herself? I didn't have the letter with me at the time, but the end of this particular story facet is that Jessie had it in the hotel room and I was like "Jessie, do you have the letter?" and she said "It didn't say," and she let me see it and it didn't say. So then I felt better. Jessie is my nice friend.

And then other stuff happened at TMEA =O!!! I was in Treble choir. We did some really groovily awesome songs. My favourite was a piece called "In the Beginning." We also did an 8-part women's choir Ave Maria (pretty cool cos it has 8 parts and it's only for women's voices XD() ) and it was interesting because it left out parts of the text. Specifically, "mater Dei" and "nunc et in hora mortis nostrae," meaning, "mother of God" and "now and in the hour of our death," respectively. I was quite interested at the fact the composer left out "mater Dei," since that's really the only part of the Ave Maria I feel inclined to take issue with. Mary was the human mother of Jesus, who was, after all, God in human form... but calling her the mother of God is misleading and just a teensy over-elevated, if you take my meaning. Anyway, the girl who was on my left kind of smelled bad =| She smelled like... hmm. Like the ocean, only not good. Like the beach if there's rotting seaweed on it. Although she was a perfectly nice person and I have nothing against her personally. Only problem was that our clinician (she was so cute, she had a Wisconsin accent and told us to "have a chair" instead of to "have a seat") had us do back massages at the start of every rehearsal, a practice which I normally condone fully... only the beach-smelling girl was kind of ikky to give a massage to or even have a massage from because she was just kind of damp and warm o_o And her massage was so weak too... I mean, if your sweaty hands are going to touch me anyway, you might as well make it worth it T_T So after every rehearsal (all the rehearsals lasted 1-3 hours, some 5 or 6 hours but we had a couple breaks so it was all right), I always washed my hands =+

Anyway we also had misadventures at the hotel we stayed at. Mum bought me some new jeans before going and stuck them in my bag because my other jeans broke, and she bought two different kinds so I could pick one I liked and she could take back the other one. So on the second morning, I tried them on and I liked one of them, so I took the tags off and stuff. Only them came with a belt and it was attached to the jeans with a plastic loop (presumably to keep people from stealing the belt and walking off with it in the store)... and I COULDN'T GET IT OFF. I tried everything I could think of-- I even gnawed it for a bit. But since it was just a hotel room, we didn't have scissors or anything... so I was just like "bah, I'll just wear other trousers today" and I did. But the next night, I was out of 100% clean trousers (not that the others I had were *dirty*, I just had four pairs, and four days to be wearing them, so I didn't want to have to wear one twice) so I called down to the service desk to ask about getting some scissors. And the lady was like "Hold please" and then a while later she was like "Well, we can't loan you scissors, but you can come down to the Business Centre and use the ones there. It's open 24 hrs." So I was like "okay." I was already in my pajamas, but I got dressed again and went downstairs to the lobby. I couldn't find the Business Centre at first, but then I asked some bellboy or something and I found it, but it was locked and it said it was open from like 8 am-5 pm and I was like "that does not sound like open 24 hours" and then I asked somebody else and they were like "We can open it up for you" and I was like okay. Then this guy was like "He'll open it for you" and it was this guy Darryl (his name tag said Darryl). And I was like okay. And then he was like doing something else, then he was like "Ah, hang on a second... what's your last name?" and I was like "R*****" (I'm sly and don't reveal my last name) and I was like "why do they need to know my last name?" and he was like "Let me just see if we have a credit card on file for you" and I was like "o_o ... Is it an extra charge?" and he was like "Yes, it's an extra charge" and I was like "Oh... I'm sorry, I don't have a credit card... nevermind... sorry" and I went back up to my room and I was like bleh. Because it would have been nice for the lady on the phone to 1) not tell me it's open 24 hours if it's NOT and 2) tell it costs before I have to get dressed again and go downstairs T_T But I was like "bah, whatever" and I wore different trousers for the last day. And I thought that would be the end of my hotel misadventures. Unfortunately, I WAS SEVERELY INACCURATE!!!1

Okay, our concert was at 5pm. Because we weren't going to be staying that night, we all except for Scur checked out of our rooms and put our stuff in her room, the plan being that we would get ready for the concert in her room and stuff, and the district would just pay to have that room an extra night. So Jessie and I came back from lunch at 2.30 or 3 or something and went up to her room and used the key she had given us, but it didn't work =| And the keys had been kind of weird anyway, so we kept trying for a long time, but it just didn't work. These housekeeping people were there, and they were like "oh, all those rooms are checked out." And we were like, "Well, this one's not supposed to be checked out... all our stuff is in it, and I know our director didn't check out today." And they were like "Oh yeah, there was a lot of stuff in that one." And we were like T_T()() So we went downstairs to the service desk and guess who we got to talk to? Darryl! So I was very reasonable and I was like "I think there was a mix-up with the checkout times for room something-something [I forget which room it actually was, 419 or something]... the key doesn't work anymore" and he took the key away and was like "Thank you" and I was like "That room's not supposed to be checked out yet... I don't know if our director got a later checkout time or if she's keeping it for another night [because I didn't know at that point] but it shouldn't be checked out yet" and he was like "The checkout time is noon" and I was like "Yes, but we weren't supposed to be checked out of that room yet" and he was like "Last name?" and I was like "Well, it's R*****, but it's not my room, it's my director's room and I'm sure she didn't check out at noon because--" and he was like "All those rooms are checked out. She's checked out." And I was beginning to suspect that the hotel had kindly *automatically* checked everyone out at noon, so I said (in an assertive but NOT rude tone of voice), "She actually herself came down here and checked out, or she WAS checked out?" and he said "SHE'S CHECKED OUT" in a really mean voice. Then he went "Have a nice day." And I was like O_O And then Jessie and I went to part of the lobby and I started crying because that guy Darryl wasn't nice to me. T_T! We tried calling Scur, but we only got her voice mail and we didn't know what to do because we had to get ready for the concert... then the girls from another high school who were also going to be using the room showed up and we explained the situation and we were like "this 5uxX0rz" and nobody knew what to do. Then Scur showed up and she was mad and she talked to another service person (she didn't know about what had happened to us, she just had a bad feeling because she'd called the room to see how we were and nobody answered so she came to the hotel) and got it straightened out and we got the room back and it was good. And it turns out they were apparently trying to make some extra money off of us by trying to charge us for an extra night we'd already paid for. So when we got to the room, she called a manager and complained about it. And we were like "Yay, go Scur |D~" and it was all good but I was still unhappy with that Darryl. T_T!

Blah and then TMEA was over and etc. and the week happened that I don't think is too important to write a bunch about. On Saturday, AnJa was singing for the big UT open house thingie they have with her choir, so we went up and it was reeeeaally cold and we had a number of good jokes |D~ |D~ is a fun face! They were going to be singing outside, but the weather obviously wasn't good enough for that... so we got to the outside place it was supposed to be at and of course nobody was there, but there was a big screen set up and it said "Explore UT has moved to Gregory Gymnasium" and there were these two guys standing around and we figured we should go to Gregory Gymnasium but we weren't sure if the thing she was going to be at was "Explore UT" so dad went up and asked one of the guys. And he just kind of looked at the screen and then back at dad like .-. and then he said "It moved to Gregory Gymnasium" and we were like "okay, thank you XD" and we walked over that way. Then we saw her sing and were like yay and we all met up and went to lunch at Taco Cabana and then went to Fry's and then.... did... something... else... ah, we went for a drive... and... then went to supper at a restaurant near her dorm called Wok & Go that's really good. Then we went home and she stayed at her dorm of course because that's where she lives XP And after we got home I started feeling bad, like I had something stuck in my throat and it hurt and I was like bleh! Then on Sunday I woke up feeling horrid and it felt just like strep throat, all disgusting and eww and I hate strep throat. I felt bad all day and woke up on Monday feeling just as bad if not worse and I went to the doctor and she was like "I think it's just your allergies!" and I was like "o_o" and she gave me a nasal spray to use (I really hate nasal sprays) and took a strep culture and stuff. Then on Tuesday morning I felt horrid as well and mum went to Austin to hang with AnJa (actually to help her pick an apartment for next year) so I was home alone all day. Then I coughed up some green junk so it's a sinus infection, not just my allergies ;o And mum called and I told her and she called the doctor and then the doctor called in a prescription of antibiotic for me and I'm like "whoo." Not really. But it wasn't strep throat, anyway. Ha ha, I'm infected. Then last night I couldn't fall asleep so this morning I felt pretty bad anyway and also really tired so I stayed home again. Tomorrow I'm sure I'll feel well enough to go, but it's UIL contest and I can't sing at all o_o I guess I'll still go... just mouth it or something... I don't know.

Yeah, that's stuff. I've also had a couple of dreams I remember pretty well (both concerning Brad Swaile TEE HEE) so I'll put down what I recall of those. In the more distant one, four or five nights ago I suppose... he was in town and I met him. I don't know if he was in town to see me or something because of the letters I've sent (neither of which I have still gotten any response to IRL, BWA) or if he was just randomly here, but we met up and I was like yay XD And we really hit it off and got along. Just as friends, you know, but it wasn't out of the question that it wouldn't always be like that you know =D()! Other stuff I can't remember happened... he had shaved off his beard, thankfully (yes, dears, he has a beard at the moment, or at least did when he was last photographed... check it), not that he looks particularly BAD with a beard, he just looks better without it. And he and I and Greg and Chris were all playing SSB Melee ;o And he had made a pencil drawing of the studio where he went to work and there were lots of trees and an elevator at the front of the building. And that was a happy dream that made me happy like ^_^. And then LAST night I had a dream that ACen happened earlier, like this weekend, and we were there and I hadn't really even had a chance to pack, and I was like "I wanted to wear my pretty Chinese shirt, can't we go back home and get it" but then I remembered that I don't have one right now because the one I actually bought was too small in a certain area (but it fit me better than it would have Jamie-- EAT THAT!) so we sent it back and requested a larger size but it hasn't gotten here yet so I haven't got one-- and that bit is true both in the dream and in real life. So I was like bleh. Then the convention wasn't just for anime, but also for Latin, marine biology, and music. So Scur and Mrs. Davis (the other choir teacher) where there, and so was Cooper, my friend who's also in Latin. Stuff happened that I can't remember. I read something about Brad Swaile being limited as to what he could do at the convention because of the company he worked for, and I was like =O And then AnJa and I were looking for him and we thought we saw a guy who was him but it didn't really look like him... he also didn't have a beard in this dream, but his hair was also cut really short, like a crew cut. We kept on going around asking for a schedule of events so we could make sure we were at wherever they were doing the voice actor stuff, but nobody had one... then we heard from next door some voice actor people talking, but for some reason we couldn't go in there and we were just overhearing. Somebody was saying how "some of us have special talent" and this guy goes "That's me!" and it was a joke, and I was "I wonder if that's Brad Swaile?" because it was a lot lower voice than any of the characters he's played but it did kind of sound like him and this one chick (IRL) said that his voice is lower IRL so I was like "well, it could be him" and blah. Then the guy AnJa and I had thought maybe was Brad Swaile came in to the room where we were and sat down next to me. And then I realised that it wasn't Brad Swaile at all, but Mr. Dowhy XD()()()() So we were just talking about stuff, and AnJa still thought it was Brad Swaile so she was kind of disturbed that I was talking so freely with him, and then I was like "It's Mr. Dowhy" and she was like "Ah." Then some people were doing a demo on humpback whales (the kind that sing) and we didn't go for some reason even though we wanted to... also, I had seen another newspaper article about Brad Swaile in which he was a doctor who had done something concussive. And I was like "I didn't know he was a doctor." But it kept switching between Brad Swaile and Jonathan Swift and various combinations of those (Brad Swift and Jonathan Swaile) and I got confused. Then I was wandering around and went swimming in this tube thing and I was swimmin' through and groovin' and then I realised the glass tube full of water to swim in was inside of the humpback whale tank. So I wasn't IN the tank but I kind of was, and then I was like "aah, there's a show going right now" so I quickly swam across, but through the next opening it was still the same tank with the show, and I went through that one as fast as I could and then there was ANOTHER one and I was like AI YAA so I finally got through and got out, and there were these three kids who were gonna go around the other side and do it, and I think they did but the show was over at that point. Then these security guys came and they were talking to the kids and asking if they had gone through and I realised they were looking for whoever had gone through during the show. And I thought, "If I just walk away now they might not ever realise it was me," but I was like "but then one of these kids might get in trouble" so I went up and I was like "Sir, if you're looking for the person who swam through during the show, it was me" and he was like "AH HA" and I had to go to security u_u and they were like "We lose business because of people like you!" and really, there wasn't even a sign or anything that said not to go through while there was a show on, and I didn't even know it went through the tank anyway, so it wasn't really my fault, but I was just like u_u and I had also been wearing a swim cap *blink* And a rocket pack or something. And I had been going through the tubes as fast as I could without disrupting the rocket pack, or something. And there was this lady there at security and she was saying "You made it through all three in 45 seconds, that's the fastest time ever!" and I was like ^_^() and then mum came and it was all good... more or less... yeah. And that's what I remember!

Since being ill, I've had lots of time to a) watch Kenshin DVDs Chris lent me ages ago and b) play FF1. I'm almost done now with FF1-- I only have the Wind Orb left to light and then the final dungeon and stuff. Whee. As for Kenshin, I have to ask for the next volume because I have the one AFTER the one after the one I just finished, but not the one after the one I just finished. ...yeah. I think Kat has it. I just love Kenshin... it's a really great series that I love.. and.. yeah.. =D()

Arara, it gets so late, I done writing and post, yes/no!
